Introducing Víxla: A Journey of Innovation, Transformation, and a Cleaner Future
When we first introduced the Víxla system in 2023, we knew we were onto something special. But what began as an ambitious idea—rooted in decades of industrial expertise—has since evolved into a revolutionary solution. One that is now transforming how the world tackles one of its most pressing environmental challenges: plastic waste.
Now, as we count down the final weeks before the grand opening of our fully operational demonstration plant in Norway on June 11th, we invite you to step into our story—how we built Víxla, where we’re headed, and why this moment marks a powerful turning point.
Víxla Means Transformation
In Old Norse, the word víxla means “to transform”—and that perfectly captures our purpose: Transform Waste into a Valuable Resource.
We intentionally chose a name that sets us apart from the crowd, avoiding predictable buzzwords like plastic, recycling, or green energy. Víxla tells a deeper story—one of rethinking how the world can solve complex waste problems with small, smart, and scalable systems.
While many of our competitors pursue large, centralized mega-facilities, we took a different path. We designed Víxla to be compact, mobile, and accessible—available to a broader market and deployable right where the waste challenge exists.
From Drill Cuttings to Plastic Recycling: The Roots of Víxla
Our journey didn’t begin with plastics. It began over a decade ago in the oil and gas industry, where we developed and operated our patented ITDU (Induction Thermal Desorption Unit) system. Processing up to 70 metric tons of drill cuttings daily, the ITDU gave us a strong foundation in thermal process engineering, fabrication, and operational experience.

Using the same core pyrolysis technology and the same R&D and fabrication team, we pivoted the technology from drill cuttings to plastics—and the Víxla system was born. Construction of the first pilot began in early 2023, and by July, we had a functioning prototype ready for testing.

From there, everything accelerated.
Throughout late 2023 and into 2024, we took every learning from our pilot and re-engineered the system to enhance throughput, performance, and operational efficiency. The result is now a compact, high-end solution for decentralized plastic recycling.
The Víxla System: Built to Perform
High Efficiency
With a plastic-to-oil conversion rate of 85%, Víxla ranks among the most efficient systems in the market—producing 1 liter of oil from every 1 kg of plastic waste.
Containerized & Mobile
Built into a 40-foot container, Víxla is easily transportable and redeployable—ideal for urban, industrial, and remote environments.Modular & Scalable
Our modular design means capacities can grow with demand through parallel installations on the same site.Decentralized Impact
Bringing the system to the waste—not the other way around—minimizes transport, emissions, and logistical costs.Highly Automated:
Industry-grade automation, including PLC/HMI controls developed in-house results in minimal operator interference during operations.Low Energy, Net-Zero Potential
Our non-condensable gas byproduct powers the system, dramatically reducing the need for external energy sources.Low CAPEX Barrier
With a significantly lower capital requirement than competing systems, Víxla opens the door for municipalities, developing markets, and distributed industry players.
These features are not theoretical—they’re live, field-tested, and ready for the world.
Global Momentum: First Deliveries in the UK and Beyond
In early 2025, we proudly delivered our first two commercial systems to QM Recycled Energy Ltd. in the UK. Meanwhile, back home in Norway, our flagship demonstration plant is currently being installed and commissioned.

But this is only the beginning.
By the end of Q2 2025, we will deliver new Víxla systems to clients in Belgium, Spain, and the Philippines, each one enabling local, clean, and profitable plastic recycling.
The Grand Opening – June 11th in Norway
The countdown has begun.
On June 11th, we officially unveil our demonstration plant in Norway—a real-world showcase of Víxla’s capabilities. But this won’t be just another ribbon-cutting ceremony. It’s the celebration of a vision realized, of technology made tangible, and of a clean future in action.
Víxla is no longer a concept on paper. It’s a global-ready, market-tested system born from Norwegian innovation.
We are entering a new phase—one where Víxla becomes the go-to solution for local, clean, and effective plastic recycling across the world.
Join us on this transformative journey and be part of the moment, June 11th.
